The Fastest, Easiest Way to Learn a Foreign Language
The Fastest, Easiest Way to Learn a Foreign Language When a person looks to learn a foreign language it could seem overwhelming at first. Why you want to learn a new language can play an important role in how well you'll do. Why do you want to learn a foreign language? Is it for career reasons or for your own personal gain? If you are wanting to improve your profession or to be able to communicate with the local people there, then you have got motivation to learn. The next question is what is the best way to learn? You could enroll in a class, or hire a personal tutor, or study from language books by yourself. If we look at these ways to study we can find the advantages and disadvantages of each. 1st: If you enroll in a class one advantage to taking a class will be that it is less expensive. A disadvantage is you will be among several other students with only one instructor. You won't be able to have enough personal time with the instructor to truely learn the foreign language. For that reason you may have to retake the class more than once to get any real benifit from it. 2nd: An advantage of having a personal tutor is you will have their full attention at all times. You will also be able to speak in that foreign language and have immediate feedback. A disadvantage of learning this way is it could get expensive. The cost of having a personal tutor for quite a few lessons until you can speak fluently in a foreign language can add up. 3rd: You can purchase some literature and use them by yourself. This will be the cheapest option but with the least chance of success. You won't know if you are correctly pronouncing the words. You won't have anyone to tell you if you are pronouncing the words correctly or to lend encouragement. You could lose your motivation to learn the new language. When learning a foreign language it is very helpful to hear someone speaking in that language. In this way you will be able to pronounce the words and sentences correctly and hear how native speakers structure their sentences. You need feedback as well. If there is no one telling you how you are doing then how do you know? The first case the classroom will let you know this but not as well as you need to know. In the second case hiring a pesonal tutor will give you plenty of feedback and encouragement but it will be expensive. In the 3rd case buying books and trying to teach yourself is the least successful of them all because you don't have any feedback or encouragement. There are more options available to learning a foreign language than what has been listed so far. One really successful way is with the Rosetta Stone Language Course. This course is offered in over 30 different languages and is backed by an unconditional six-month guarantee. If you're not satisfied with the product, they'll return your money--no questions asked.
